I%26#039;m new to this internet marketing thingy, and would like to make some money and fast!
With all the gurus out there, it%26#039;s confusing. I DO have an idea for a product.
I wouldn%26#039;t mind doing some affiliating, but who do you trust? I saw a guy name Ewen Chia, and he said he has a free website builder and that it%26#039;s worth $197. BUT, guess what? I found out that it%26#039;s a freeware program and he just added buttons inside of it that sell his products. So he lied, so I%26#039;m not going to trust him.
Then, there%26#039;s this guy...I don%26#039;t know who he is...but I don%26#039;t want to waste any money. He seems genuine, BUT like I said...I have very little money %26amp; don%26#039;t want to waste it.
Could anyone check the website and let me know if it seems legitimate?
http://newbiemakesfastcash.66ghz.com/
AND/OR, give me suggestions/names as to who I could trust? I would appreciate it very much.
This stuff is confusing! Any tips on marketing for a newbie that bring INSTANT results?
Thank you,
Dave
What%26#039;s the fastest way to get traffic, when you don%26#039;t have a lot of money to start with? Software? Forums?
You%26#039;re asking the wrong question? Instead of looking for the fastest way to get traffic, you should be looking for the most sustainable way to get traffic - and that%26#039;s by creating content that people want to read (requires search engine optimization skills, and keyword research skills, and even some online writing skills), and building inbound links to that content (requires hard work).
Stop looking for magic pills.
The people that sell those ebooks are great at selling ebooks primarily. The people that are great at building long-term streams of traffic, well that%26#039;s what they%26#039;re doing.
Here%26#039;s a few clues to high-traffic sites:
facebook.com
digg.com
del.icio.us
myspace
google.com
Do you think they%26#039;re following the advice in the ebook, or do you think they%26#039;re creating compelling content (and getting people to link to it, automatically).
No easy answers, otherwise we%26#039;d all be doing it.
Here ended the sermon. :-)
Here cometh the links...

Other Replys:To many Red flags for me while looking at that page.
Who is the author..??
How do you get in contact with them.?
Didn%26#039;t see any reason to buy that product..
I would never buy a product with this type of page...
Other Replys:Hey Dave,
I%26#039;ve been in your shoes buddy! It was a long learning process for me!
Gurus, gurus, gurus....don%26#039;t care about newbies, newbies, newbies! I%26#039;ll say that up front.
There are various methods of marketing. Fast traffic = PPC, forum marketing, e-mail marketing, blogging, social networking, sig files in e-mails. Those are fast ways to get noticed.
And the long term - SEO(search engine optimization), adsense, etc.
Now, since you specifically asked about fast traffic....well, it takes work...and there is software out there to help...some free, which will speed up the process...BUT, most of it costs money.
Now, I did you a favor(and I don%26#039;t know why!). I went to that website you had listed and checked it out. I%26#039;ll tell you one thing...he%26#039;s telling the truth. I was pretty leery, since it was about the ugliest site I%26#039;d ever seen! But, the claims he made were true.
Now, if you%26#039;re still in a bind, e-mail me, and maybe I%26#039;ll take you under my wing, BUT, I think you should give that method a try...because, ultimately(and it sounds like you lack confidence in a big way)...you%26#039;ll feel better about yourself because confidence comes from SUCCESS! Not from others doing it for you.
Well, let me know if you need anything else!
Great day to ya!
Scott
Other Replys:This site you mention is just another way to separate you from your money. There is nothing offered in that pamphlet that you can not google and get info on directly yourself, and for free. Craigslist will walk you through your listing steps, blogging can be learned from any teenager basicly, and online. You would do better to consult and or teach yourself how to put together a web site for yourself (try godaddy, they help alot, as well as Creating webpages for dummies- the book), and that will get you started. Don%26#039;t pay out money for advise that is free for those who search diligently. Also network- other small businesses will be glad to share their sucesses and lost monies attempts when asked.
Other Replys:Sort of an interesting topic here! One thing%26#039;s for sure, his site is ugly, and just like he says...he%26#039;s doing everything wrong! Poor guy%26#039;s missing out on money...but the thing that caught my attention...is that he ADMITTED he was doing everything wrong!
But, he must%26#039;ve done something right...he got noticed!
I might just give him a shot, out of curiousity, since it looks like someone else did. Fortunately, I%26#039;ve a little money to burn! I%26#039;m not bragging...sorry, that came out wrong.
Here%26#039;s a thought....first of all, everyone%26#039;s so darn concerned about spending money. THIS IS BUSINESS!!! Get over it...spending helps you!
%26quot;A dollar of expense is worth more in your pocket than a dollar of income%26quot;. Come tax time anyway.
Remember that.
I just did a lot of you who forgot about that rule or who never knew it, a big favor.
You%26#039;re on the internet. You do things (internet access, various software, etc). Use them to create tax savings. Yes, EVEN ebooks. You%26#039;re going to find yourself in a world of hurt come tax time, if you simply use any profits you make for play.
Sorry, got off subject a little bit! Drives me nuts...nobody minds spending money on movies, McDonald%26#039;s, etc. But, HEAVEN forbid they spend any money on something that may produce income or at least the desired result! WAKE UP!! If you lose a little money here and there(we all have)...it%26#039;s a learning experience, PLUS a tax write-off. It%26#039;s not the end of the world.
Now, if you%26#039;re a newbie with little money...I would probably be quite leery of that site. You can%26#039;t afford to lose money, and I sympathize with you. I%26#039;m not scared though, write off for me....but, it still bothers me that the guy on the site admits he%26#039;s doing everything wrong. I question whether he%26#039;s a newbie, or a guru testing a strategy.
I%26#039;m curious as to how you came across the site myself.
About the ONLY thing the person on that site did correctly, from a marketing standpoint...is create a fear of losing out. However, unlike most people....he didn%26#039;t offer a discounted price...he simply said the offer and the web page will be gone on Wednesday. This is going to be interesting to watch! If he is a newbie(he doesn%26#039;t give his name, which is odd)...he sure doesn%26#039;t care about fame.
It%26#039;s simply %26quot;in your face, here it is, take it or leave it, I%26#039;m out of here%26quot;. He%26#039;s almost got the attitude of %26quot;The Rich Jerk%26quot; but he doesn%26#039;t insult anyone....he simply just doesn%26#039;t seem like he cares...which makes me wonder...is what he%26#039;s saying true? Sorry people, I%26#039;m kind of thinking out loud!
He even misspelled the word %26quot;because%26quot; towards the end!
Puchtaka, you are quite right, but I don%26#039;t think you caught exactly what Dave was asking.
In his question, he mentioned INSTANT traffic and FASTEST results. The signs of an excited newbie, I%26#039;d say! Researching can be done for free, but that takes time, and I think Dave is more interested in money NOW, than in building a website and waiting for SEO, marketing, etc.
Dave, you mentioned you have an idea....what is it? An ebook? A craft? Do you mean you have an idea or product of your own to sell? Or your affiliating? You were pretty vague on that.
Dave, I don%26#039;t know who that Scott is, but you better be thanking him for offering to help you! I NEVER had ONE SINGLE PERSON offer me help when I started out.
I was in the forums, chatting, MLM%26#039;ing with sponsors who wouldn%26#039;t respond...I tried everything and never got the offer you got from Scott!
I%26#039;m not sure I%26#039;m helping here! I%26#039;m getting a little carried away, becuase it%26#039;s late and I%26#039;m exhausted.
Dave, internet marketing IS work...even if you have great tools to do it with. There is no free ride. Now, I%26#039;m still not sure what the guy on the website is offering(looks good on paper though), but....even IF he%26#039;s telling the truth, even IF you get everything he says you get....you%26#039;re still going to have to PUT WORK INTO IT.
I wish you the best in your online endeavor, and if this is something your heart desires...then stick with it...no matter how hopeless or desperate it may seem(especially in the beginning). It%26#039;s not what happens to you, it%26#039;s how you react to what happens to you that makes you a success, or a failure.
I%26#039;ll be back FOR SURE on Thursday...to see if that website is gone like he claims he%26#039;s going to take it down.
Take care everyone, God Bless, and have a great day/night!
Eddy Blackwell
Other Replys:Hi there just send me a mail to jaques606@yahoo.com, with %26quot;ways to get traffic%26quot; in the subject line, and i%26#039;ll send you many sources to choose from.
Will reply asap.
Other Replys:Well first of all, the name f the website says it all... STAY AWAY! Let me break it down.
Newbie... term coined by the gurus or more experienced marketers when referring to someone who has not been exposed to all the online scams, ripoffs, money grabbing schemes, etc..
Make fast cash... is an overused play on human emotions, greed, and laziness. Most everyone loves, wants, and need money, so what better way to entice them than to make promises of fast cash?
A real online business is much the same as an offline business, it takes time to build up and make a living with... if it measures up to that standard at all. Most people approach an online business as a hobby or game and they hop from business venture and plan as the wind changes direction. I, myself have been guilty of doing the same thing
Just as an offline business, you need to stay focused on that particular business or niche market. Since I have learned to evaluate a business opportunity or offer... I have learned to make logical choices and make money with most of those I have chosen.
One of the businesses that I chose and stayed focused on was being a print broker, and have been making a living at it for 5 years now. One of the ways that I have found to become successful in about any viable opportunity is to actually have and use the offer itself.
This way, you can become an expert in the offer and can speak from experience rather than repeating what others say. Also, write articles centered around the offer. For instance, as a print broker, I write articles on about 11 different aspects of the printing business. I submit the articles to newsletter and ezine publishers, and article data bases.
My articles spread all over the internet and when read, folks come to the website in my author%26#039;s resource box. It%26#039;s like having free advertising and sales generation that can%26#039;t be stopped. For offline advertisement, I do co-op printing. That means that my customer gets their printing at a discoung for allowing me to print my offer on the back of their circular or flyer.
When they distribute their circulars and flyers, I%26#039;m getting free advertising and generating more sales without doing any work or spending money on advertising.
For you, I would suggest going to clickbank and choosing a product or two to promote, and stay focused on them. Write articles and submit them with your resource box with link to your site.
You establish credibility, get free advertising, and geerate sales for a log time to come that continues to increase over time.
Feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.
