Website Domain Question?

Hello

I just bought a domain with godaddy.com

Now, how can i start with building a site?

Do i use their tool? where do i upload my work?

I dont want to purchase site builder from them bec. it is quite expensive monthly.

Can I use my own tool like flash or front page and then upload it to server?

I only bought a low and cheap domain name and an email address.

Now, how can i build my new site? I have my details already, banner, logo, pictures, my question is how do i start ?

Website Domain Question?

Get hosting at http://www.JuicyHosting.com

and a template http://www.web-site-templates.biz

And you have a web site

Website Domain Question?

you can create the site in any program you want. however you will need hosting for the site in order to get it up. it%26#039;s an additional cost from godaddy and many other sites, check google for others.

any free hosting sites that are out there won%26#039;t give the bandwidth and storage space needed for a website to actually be functional.

Other Replys:Since you are obv new to this I%26#039;d recommend a cheap html editor:

http://coffeecup.com

That you can use to build your site. Once that%26#039;s done you just have to upload to your purchased site, follow GoDaddys emailed instructions.

There are numerous websites that show you how to do all this.

The program I recommended also has extensive help files and also a forum to post questions on how to use it.

Oops thiought you bought server space. Call GoDaddy, it will be easier for you and they are very helpful and ask them about their hosting packages. You really only need the most basic one. They will also ask you windows or Linux for what type of OS will be on the server your website will share on. For you it doesn%26#039;t matter since GD charges the same for both.

Other Replys:You need a hosting service

The best - http://www.he.net/hosting_prices.html $9.95

The rest - http://www.webhostingbluebook.com/

Other Replys:FrontPage will only publish %26quot;Webs%26quot; and not individual pages. If you create a Web and then build pages inside it you will be able to upload those pages using FrontPage. If not, you will need to create an empty Web and then copy your pages into it.

To build an empty Web, select File %26gt;New in FrontPage.

Once your pages have been saved in a FrontPage Web can publish your Web site.

To Publish Your Web Site Using FrontPage

Open FrontPage. From the File menu, select Publish Web.

Enter the domain name you want to publish to, including the http://www. in front of it. Click OK.

Enter your FTP user name and password and click OK.

On the Publish Web window, click Options.

Specify whether you want to publish only pages that have changed, or all pages. Click OK.

Click Publish.

NOTE: If you are using any of the advanced FrontPage features like a hit counter or forms, then you must upload using the HTTP (e.g. http://www.mydomain.com) address. If you upload your Web site using FTP (e.g., ftp://www.mydomain.com), then the files that support FrontPage in your hosting directory may become corrupt.

You can find more information about FrontPage and creating a Web site using FrontPage at Microsoft%26#039;s Web site:

FrontPage 2003 Support

Other Replys:front page will work with the GoDaddy hosting, but you do need to purchase hosting from them.

Hosting from their is $3.99 at the cheapest rate and is more than you need. I would go with the Linux plan, but since its best price you can get windows although for a basic site or to just load flash either will do fine.

NVU is a free web editor - www.nvu.com so you can use that instead of front page as well.

The web editor Godaddy uses - Web Site Tonight - comes with the hosting included. The same product is available on my Domains at Retail storefront ( http://www.domainsatretail.com/websiteto... ). The benefit of using Web Site Tonight (which you have stated is pricy) is that you get the built in editor to change your pages and you get the hosting cost included.

So hosting would be $3.99 for a month but you get no editor. For an Extra $1/month you can get the website tonight included and its all handled for you.
