I am not able to publish my website. I have designed it in Frontpage 2003.?

If you used FrontPage to create the website and you wish to %26quot;publish%26quot; it to the web with FrontPage you will need FrontPage extensions on your server. A lot of times you can turn these on and off in your web server control panel.

I don%26#039;t know what control panel your server has. If you have cPanel, (most popular), click FrontPage Extensions Icon and then %26quot;Install Extensions%26quot;.

You should now be able to log into your account with FrontPage and publish to the web. Make sure you use the same user name and Password that you use to log into your control panel.

If your host doesn%26#039;t have FrontPage extensions you can always use FTP to publish your website. If you don%26#039;t have an FTP program you can download a free trial version of WS_FTP here: http://www.ipswitch.com/products/ws_ftp/...

After you have downloaded and installed the software start it and it should automatically start the connection wizard. If it doesn%26#039;t, click the connection wizard icon on the toolbar. The first screen that pops asks for a name for your website. You can name it whatever you like that will be easy for you to recognize as your website from the main menu in this box. The next box asks for your server address. This is usually %26quot;ftp.yourwebsite.com%26quot;. The next screen will ask for your user name and password. Simply use the same user name and password you use to log into your admin panel. The next screen will ask you which connection type you want to use. Choose %26quot;ftp%26quot;. The next screen will confirm all of the information you have entered. If it looks correct make sure %26quot;connect to this site%26quot; is checked and click Finish. You should now be connected to your server.

Assuming all of that went well and you are now connected to your server you should be seeing two window panes. The one on your left is your local hard drive, (your computer). The one on your right is your server. You want to double click the %26quot;public_html%26quot; file. Once you see /public_html in the address bar of your right window pane you are in the area you want to upload all of your website files.

Use the drop down address box on the left window pane to navigate your local hard drive to the folder with all of your web files. Once there, highlight all of the files and click the green arrow in the middle that points to the right. Now your files should be uploaded!

*Note- If you%26#039;re using cgi files, some servers require that they must be in the cgi-bin folder for them to work properly.
