First use Process Explorer to find out if other programs are using your SiteBuilder files:
1. Download Process Explorer from Microsoft%26#039;s site:

iWeb is real easy to use and make it look nice, but has a few limitations (as far I my experiane) with tables and other elements. Dreamweaver is cool. You can build it graphically, and see the code simultainiously. Also, you can select an object and the code will appear highlighted, making it more efficient.

okay so im doing all the graphics using photoshop and uploading the images i make as pages as backgrounds, however even when the resolutions of the documents match when i preview the page there is always a lot of clipping.. viewing it as a website i cant even scroll down on the browser, any way to fix this?

I just looked at the website. On my computer, if I expand the window all the way, I can read all of the text and see all the pictures. If I make the window smaller, it does cut off the website. If I were you, I would split up the pictures text and actually post them on geocities pagebuilder, using a solid color as the background. It might not look as pretty, but if nothing else works, that will.
Or, if you really don%26#039;t want a solid background, you can take just the background layer in photoshop and apply that by itself as the background in geocities. Then, when you put the pictures and the text on top of that, it will look very similar to what you have right now. It will also be easier to edit and adjust later on if it%26#039;s the type of website that you%26#039;ll be changing a lot.

That is very difficult to do - companies as large as Yahoo! and Google, with a very extensive talent base, spend years creating tools that normal, non-developers can easily use to create halfway decent web sites. There are many very poor templating systems built by lesser organizations, but they are so poor that they are almost useless. (Not to say that the people who wrote them are stupid - far from it; it is just difficult for a small group of people with limited capital to develop something as complex as, say, a car, which takes the resources of Honda Motor to build.) I don%26#039;t mean to offend, but to be entirely honest if you have to come to a place like Yahoo! Answers to ask about creating such a thing, it is probably outside your current abilities. You could start learning web software development as it relates to such things - you will need to fully master at least one server-side programming language such as PHP or ASP.NET, be very well-versed in JavaScript application development, and probably database development like MySQL or SQL Server. But, it would probably be easier, more cost-efficient and timely to hire someone who already has all that experience to create it for you.

unfortunately the only reliable way is the word of mouth. I know you say its not not option but it is, it just needs leg work. Get a few architects in to see if they want the drawing job......ask them do they know any good local builders, ask in the pub, ask in the builders merchants ( not B%26amp;Q ! ), walk around and see what new extensions are up - go and knock on the door....I find people don%26#039;t mind and I am more than happy to give recommendations for all the work we do.
We were all new to an area at some stage, it just requires a bit of legwork to find the reliable builders.
a website, database or agency all have the agenda of making commission out of you. yellow pages ? I would say not. All the builders, groundworks, sparkies, plasterers and plumbers I use are not in Yellow pages. Why would they be ? The best ones are far too busy to need adverts.
Finally, never go with someone who is available. You%26#039;ll have to wait for a decent builder.

The other way is to find people that have had work done and find out that way about the builders they have used!

Try this software call WinZIP. I have used it on a few sites and it will correctly change all links and turn everything into an HTML page so it can be viewed on your local computer (or in your case a CD). Works great for dynamic sites since it will rename all the pages for you and change the links. You should just be able to put in the URL of your site and it will spider out and download everything for you automatically (include images, scripts, styles sheets, etc). They have a time limited, fully functional version.

My suggestion is that you do a site for desktop and lap tops and other for mobile devices so you will have less problems than trying to do one site for all of these devices.

Are you just using spaces with the space bar or what?
In the html, write %26#039;鑱?#039; instead of each %26#039; %26#039;. It%26#039;s a non-breaking space and will make sure that each space will show. For text, choose a monospace font like Courier.

Domain is something which you need to buy something like www.yourname.com, and then link it to google. Else if you wish to have www.someonedomain.com/yourname or yourname.somonedomain.com, you can try pages.google.com. I think this is a google way fast and easy, and lots of space. You get lot of free templates ready to use. just search free template in yahoo and there you go. there are bunch of sites offering templates. Also some offer a custom built ones but you don%26#039;t want to go for it since you are looking for free setup.
But the real question comes into jeopardy when it comes to hosting your site. Ofcourse, there are tons of free hosting providers too but you will not get your www.ownname.com. it will probably look like ownname.provider.com which is crappy.

The 1%26amp;1 site builder is alot harder to work with than Yahoo%26#039;s, but I have many websites and just can%26#039;t afford $10 a month for every one I have going. If you used FrontPage to create the website and you wish to %26quot;publish%26quot; it to the web with FrontPage you will need FrontPage extensions on your server. A lot of times you can turn these on and off in your web server control panel.
I don%26#039;t know what control panel your server has. If you have cPanel, (most popular), click FrontPage Extensions Icon and then %26quot;Install Extensions%26quot;.
You should now be able to log into your account with FrontPage and publish to the web. Make sure you use the same user name and Password that you use to log into your control panel.
