Also, many mortgage brokers will give you advice on buying a home for free, even if you don%26#039;t do business with him or her.

Good luck!

You should hire an attorney to do the closing. The cost is a lot less than a realtor and you will be sure that your interests are protected. Here are some links about buying a home:

Best of luck to you.

It%26#039;s the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents%26#039; website - they educate buyers and you might find a lot of your questions answered on their website.

Other Replys:Top contributor does not know what he or she is talking about. You are buying the property not selling it so there is no charge to you from the Realtor.

Even if you are buying from a builder, you should have a Realtor represent you. He or she can guide you in the selection process, help you negotiate price and also guide you in the closing. In other words protect your interest. Commission to the Realtor comes from the seller.

A good website is SuzeOrman.com Click on Resource Center. There is even a link to finding a brand new home or builder. Check it out. I%26#039;m not affiliated just know that she has good information for anyone planning to buy a home.
