Website help, all that shows up is broken text!?

I started working on this website for a BMX clothing company. I was using Yahoo Site builder and well...it really wasn%26#039;t working for me. So I switched to Mozilla composer. I went to publish the main page (index.html) and it completely messed it up. I tried everything, re publishing it with yahoo, deleting all the files and re publishing it again. Nothing works and I really have no idea what to do. The website is www.downfallbmx.com The other parts of the website work still, it%26#039;s just the index that is crazy. Help would be much appreciated.

try reuploading the files(index.html) in ASCII mode, most if not all FTP client software have a setting where you can choose the uploading mode, for .html the correct mode is ASCII(usually in auto mode it works fine too)

I tried it and I got **** as well. That means the page is either set up wrong or I don%26#039;t have the proper program to decipher it. No properties are shown.

For you informaiton,

if the code is worked in Mozilla browser, if you says yes there was a problem in supporting the browser.

Some times it occurs the browser could not support, if it is worked in opera or others.

Another idea is to look up %26quot;html%26quot; codes and learn how to incorperate it into your site. After a while, and pending interest, you can use the skills you learn through Site Builder or through researching %26quot;HTML%26quot; code to add things such as color, text, banners and graphics. A good thing to do is go to http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/ and read about how to use the coding. You will find that everything is based on this code. Even the Site Builder tools and web page tools are just easy-to-use codifers.

Lastly, use Microsoft Front Page if you have it with your windows package. Go to start menu, all progroams, and see if its listed on your computer program.

Alright, I can%26#039;t use freewebs because it%26#039;s blocked here, I think. And I need a good web creator/builder (and yes i know coding stuff). Are there any good web creators/builders out there that I might be able to use to create a website?

Should the Builder of my building to install a Lightning Conductor after my building got hit by Ligh

I live in Nasik Maharashtra India. Nasik has a history of thunder-storms and Lightning Strikes in the start of pre-monsoons (first few rains of the season). Last month my building got hit by Lightning and the corner of the roof parapet wall was totally destroyed. In total 10 people (including 4 members of my family) of our building miraculously escaped death that day when there was a shower of rubble from the roof (6th floor) of the building.

Is there any way I / My building society can pressurise the builder and / or the town planner to erect a lightning arrestor on our building.

Our Building is of ground + 5 Floors is there any other security equipment required on such tall building. Is there any website where i can see the rules and regulations of buildings and safety procedures to be provided by the builder in case of fire, lightning or any other eventuality.

I think it%26#039;s up to the landlord, not the builder..if YOU own the property, then it%26#039;s YOUR responsibilty to install a lightning conductor .. but if you are renting, then you have a case to make sure the owner gets it sorted, otherwise you should get the town planner involved

I don%26#039;t know what the legalities are there for this. You can ask, but it remains to be seen if they%26#039;ll do it.

You can get sergers for things like the PC and other plug ins. Or, make sure your insurance covers everything you own.

Other Replys:I would say that lightning equipment would be an option. If it wasn%26#039;t shown on the plans, then you%26#039;ll have to pay for the installation.

Other Replys:If it is not in your contract then he is not responsible. If you knew your area is susceptible to lightening then why did you not have it done at the time of completion? You could take it up with your zoning/planning board, take your contract with you. Lots of luck.

Other Replys:Find or locate an Electrical or Civil Engineer in your area and ask them about what kind of grounding and lightening protection your biulding should have. They pretty much know all the biulding codes for your area, and will usually answer you question at no charge. Most engineers can also help you(r) building or whoever the owner may be, get funding to install the protection needed.
